Hotel Playacartaya is situated in a natural park surrounded by 12,000sq.m of pine trees and is 120 km from Faro Airport and 115 km from Sevilla Airport. The distance from the nearest beach is just 20-25 minutes, while the nearest resort city/town 20 km. Please note that all distances are approximate. Regarding the distance to the nearest beach, please note that it is not easy to establish, as it is in a unique area. To access the beach, which is a sand tongue in the middle of the sea, there is a tunnel situated 150m from the Hotel that takes you to the riverbank where there is a boat service (special price for Hotel guests) to the magnificent beaches of La Flecha de El Rompido. |

Facilities |
| The hotel provides a large games area offering bowls, gigantic chess, shuffle board, mini-golf, archery and rifle shooting. A gymnasium is also available. For swimming, there is the outdoor thematic swimming-pool with water slides and whirlpool and the indoor swimming-pool (the latter closes from 16/06 to 15/09). Bathing towels and sunbeds are offered gratis. There are also an area for sunbathing by the outdoor pool and a naturist sunbathing terrace. Hotel features two restaurants, the Rio Piedra and Las Marismas. They offer buffet with show-cooking and buffet for children in Las Marismas (only one of them is open in peak season). All meals are served buffet style in the main restaurant, which has a non-smoking area available. |
