Wonderful beaches in Greece

The main Greek islands of Corfu, Crete and Rhodes account for more than 80% of tourist visiting the islands. The main summer season runs from the start of May through to the end of October but visitors in the last week of October should be prepared to see hotels and attractions getting ready to close down on the last day of the month. This unfortunately usually clashes with also being half-term for many schools in England. For family entertainment value Crete and Rhodes offer the best water parks and things to do for families with both Corfu and Zante coming close runners up. Halkidiki on the mainland offers some great beaches and countryside but if the children want an action packed holiday then stick to the main four.

Time: Local time is GMT +2 (GMT +3 between the last Sunday in April and the last Sunday in October).

Language: Greek is the national language, but English is widely spoken.

Electricity: Electrical current is 220 volts, 50Hz. A variety of plugs are in use including the European-style two-pin and the round three-pin.

What's usually included in an AI holiday
